| Long Retractable Sootblower FH (Fired Heater) |
 |
Function:
- The electric motor induces lateral and rotary motion in the lance through a reduction gearbox.
- The lance is mounted in a travelling carriage assembly which is driven by chain, with lateral motion generated directly through sprockets and rotary motion generated through the carriage gearbox.
- When the lance advances sufficiently for the nozzles to clear the wallbox, the supply valve is opened automatically and sootblowing commences.
- At the furthest extent of travel, the carriage trips a limit switch which reverses the mechanism.
- When the lance is fully withdrawn, another limit switch signals the end of the cycle.
Special features:
- Heavy duty chain drive mechanism which is extremely reliable.
- Convergent-divergent nozzle design.
- Simple maintenance.
- Emergency manual operation using crank handle.
- Also available in a partially retracting configuration.
- Custom design options - motor and gearbox assembly can be located inboard or outboard on either side of the sootblower to accommodate site requirements.
Options:
- External settling of throttle disc
- Electrical components ATEX certified for "Ex" hazardous area installation
- Special wallbox designs for negative pressure or positive pressure
- Sealing and scavenging air for lateral duct compressor
