Clyde Bergemann Power Group exhibits at Power Gen Europe 2008

Wesel/Germany, May 2008

“Reduce your handicap …and increase your plant’s efficiency.” This is the motto of Clyde Bergemann Power Group’s (CBPG) participation at Power Gen Europe 2008, taking place 3-5 June 2008. This slogan can be taken quite literally with a virtual golf game on CBPG’s booth F30 in hall 5, to help reduce one’s handicap. On the other hand, the slogan extends an invitation to learn more about CBPG’s proven technologies for on-load boiler cleaning, materials handling and energy recovery designed to increase plant efficiency.

Example 1 – SMART HELIX. This is the latest cleaning technology developed from the SMART CLEAN ISB Platform. It is specifically designed for cleaning the unpredictable fouling on superheaters. The cleaning parameters on SMART HELIX can be adjusted to suit the erratic fouling characteristics. The retractable sootblower quickly passes zones where light fouling occurs while areas with severe fouling are passed with slower traversing and rotational speed.
Example 2 – DRYCON. This dry bottom ash handling system, with its sophisticated design, can be modified for specific installations to ensure that the length-width ratio maintains optimal cooling with maximum feed rate.
Example 3 – Economisers. The proven Steel ‘H’ design of the Economisers, along with patented finned tube technology, return valuable energy back to the process.

On June 4, 14:00-15:30, CBPG will host a workshop where experienced speakers will share information on the potential for increasing plant efficiency. This open workshop takes place at the “Oceania” conference room located one floor above hall 5.

Registrations  for the workshop can be done by email to smayer@cbw.de with the subject “Power Gen Europe Workshop”.

In respect of CBPG’s “golf” theme for Power Gen Europe, the workshop agenda links typical state-of-play to plant operational conditions:

Before addressing the first shot: analyse, evaluate and choose the right strategy.

Combustion of fossil fuels – complex processes require detailed analysis

After you strike the ball it may loose control … however you don’t have to. Make the best out of given situation and be flexible.

How intelligent optimization systems increase the process efficiency.

How dry bottom ash handling systems can be adjusted to technical requirements.

How energy recovery makes a powerful contribution to your process efficiency.

Preparing to hole out: line the ball accurately.

Clean Energy Solutions by Clyde Bergemann Power Group – in line with your needs.
